Hi, I'm Nick — a dad of three, IT guy by day, and woodworker by passion in Madison, Wisconsin.
My story starts the way a lot of good things do: my wife had an idea. It was 2020, we were stuck at home like everyone else, and she asked if I could build an Adirondack chair. I figured I'd give it a shot. That chair turned into an obsession, and NV Woodshop was born.
What drives me is simple: wood is already beautiful. My job is just to get out of its way. Every piece I make — whether it's a cutting board, a game, or something for the home — is designed to be used, not just admired. I love finding a board with stunning grain and turning it into something that earns a spot on your kitchen counter or your dining room table and actually gets used every day.
